Our purpose
Bulgaria is an attractive destination for doing business due to its low taxes rates and membership in the EU. However, setting up and running a company in the country can become frustrating due to inconveniences like legislative specifics, cultural differences, indefinite enactments, which might often escalate to a point where companies withdraw their decision to set up and manage directly their business in the country. This is an unfortunate situation both for the business that cannot get advantage of the favorable tax policies in Bulgaria, as well as for the domestic economy for losing tax payers and potential work places. SMBM finds its purpose in bridging the gap between small and medium-sized enterprises and Bulgarian attractive tax conditions by facilitating the whole process via an integrated one-stop consultancy.
Stefan Milenkov
Stefan Milenkov is the founder of SMBM, a financial consultant with nearly a decade of progressive finance management experience.
Over the years Stefan has taken over various positions in one of the leading Accounting firms in Bulgaria, starting as an Accountant, advancing into Chief Accountant and Finance Manager and Group Finance Director. Naturally his experience progressed into the field of consultancy where he has been working in since 2018. He has extensive experience with international clients and industries like Agriculture, Health and Beauty, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Heavy Machinery, Construction and others.
He is fluent in English, Bulgarian, German.
Outside of business and finance he is interested in politics, economics and sports.
